Can't use Express with my 910XT

I've tried a few times to use Garmin Express now, but every time I do so, it says that there is a firmware update to version 3.0 available for my 910XT. However my 910XT is already running 3.0 and if I try to get Garmin Express to update it it just sits there and says that I need to connect my device to the computer so never actually runs the update

I can't get past this to try syncing any activities as Garmin Express simply won't let me do anything until my 910XT is updated. It can see my 910XT and detects it but won't update it (even though as far as I can tell it doesn't need updating anyway!)

Can someone help please. I have in the meantime rolled back the the older version of Garmin Connect as that seems to work perfectly well, but I don't want to be left behind so need to get Garmin Express working properly.

Try running WebUpdater to ensure your device is updated correctly, then try Express again having deleted your 910 from it then reassociated it.

I've just tried that but Garmin WebUpdater can't find my device.... Garmin ANT Agent can find it without any problems but Garmin WebUpdater can't.

Any other suggestions?

Actually, I may have done it. I reinstalled Garmin Express yet again, turned of pairing within the 910XT and then deleted my 910XT from within Garmin Express. I then turned pairing back on in the 910XT and I think it is working now... Now to check that other applications still get to see my activities.

this links to tips for Windows pcs. is there an equivalent for Mac?

WebUpdater is not for the Garmin 910XT
