No GPS data synced to FR 220 through Garmin Express on Mac

Hi,

For quite some time I've not been able to upload GPS data to my Forerunner 220 through Garmin Express on Mac (currently 3.2.8.0 but going back many versions). If I've understood correctly a file named EPO.BIN is created in the REMOTESW folder if the data is correctly uploaded to my watch. I see the correct behavior when using the iOS Garmin Connect app. It did work before when I was using Garmin Express Fit but that app seems to be old since you can't find it easily on Garmins website.

Has anyone got a fix for this? I've contacted the Swedish Garmin support but they are clueless.

Thanks in advance!
  • After testing this issue, I am showing that Express 3.2.8 is properly sending an EPO.bin file to a FR 220 when syncing with Express. What is actually happening? What version of OS X are you on? Are you not able to sync? Do you receive some sort of error? Let us know and we can continue troubleshooting this issue with you.

    Thanks for responding Albert,

I'm running OS X Mavericks (10.9.4) and I can successfully sync my activities to Garmin Connect with Garmin Express and receive no error messages. I just uploaded an activity the day before yesterday and checked again and no EPO.BIN file was created in the REMOTESW folder after the sync. Please let me know if I can provide you with any other information to solve this annoying problem.
