310XT is not pairing

i have to back to garmin ant

Try deleting the 310XT from Express and deleting the left over ANT Agent files then pairing it again.

    • Open Garmin Express
    • Click Device
    • Click Delete Device from Express
    • Click Confirm
    • Close Garmin Express and restart the Mac
    • Open Garmin Express and follow the on-screen prompts to add the device to Express

Before restarting the Mac Go to ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Devices and delete Unit ID folder for the 310. It sounds like you only have one ANT device so there should only be one folder in this location. Be sure to Empty the Trash on the Mac.

Enable pairing on the 310XT before you add it back to Express..

    Forerunner 910XT / 310XT

    • Press Mode to access Main menu
    • Select Settings
    • Select System
    • Select Data Transfer
    • Verify Pairing is On

Same problem here! Uninstalled, delete files, reinstalled (3.2.16.0), master rest on unit. Yapp, I have tried all "possible" solutions that I can find online. Garmin Express logs shows that it finds my unit but then starts to display a lot of message about error downloading manual, error connection to Garmin Urls etc.

    Please advise!
  • Those types of errors are typically caused by the internet connection, security programs, or in some cases backup programs. I would suggest physically connecting the computer to the router/modem, and ensuring that any proxy settings are correct and trying again.

Thanks for the suggestion, that was my first thought also. But Internet is up an running, the computer is connected via cable, no firewall or AV and no backup software. I guess the urls requested are for a rest API. Which means they are access over http (get and post). If I use a rest client I can access them without problems (except that I get an error response since I don't supply the correct parameters). Any other ideas?

    Excellent support..

Fix the application so that it displays the correct error message please. As it is now it's impossible to try to locate the actual problem. It also seems that there ara a lot of people with 310:s that experience similar problems, so it might be worth looking into..

Problem solved. Downloaded a network monitor and noticed that garmin express didn't even try to connect to the internet. Google for the problem and found a guy who hade the same problem with another application. His solution was to reset the NVRAM on his Mac. Tried that and after a reboot the network monitor displays connections from garmin express. Not sure why this was needed, I have no other problems with the computer but now I works again.
