Problem connecting with Express

Mac Computer, Chrome Browser (and Firefox), Android HTC One M8 Phone, Edge 1000 and LastPass Password manager. Pretty much everything else I have connected (including Edge 805) works fine but with Garmin Express nothing talks to nothing, everything hangs. I cannot get to step 1. 3 days, maybe 10 hours, given up, of course nothing and no-one at Garmin can help.
