Sync garmin express with 620 via bluetooth

hi

how do i pair my 620 with os x via bluetooth so that i can send workouts, training plans etc from garmin connect using garmin express on my mac to my garmin 620?

i often have my charger cable at home and need to be able to send stuff from my computer while at work wirelessly.

If you are pairing via Bluetooth you are going to want to pair the device with your phone. To Pair with your phone see the following FAQ : How do I pair my Forerunner 220/620 with Garmin Connect Mobile on my smartphone? If you want to pair the device on the computer at work you will need to download Express and setup the Wi-Fi network and have the work Wi-Fi added to the device with your work's SSID and password. I dont want to pair my 620 with the phone, i already know how to do that. I want to pair it with my macbook so that i can sync with garmin express.

Bottom line: Please make it possible to send training plans from garmin connect to 620 device without needing the cable... either via bluetooth or wifi.

Did you ever get an answer to this? It appears to me that the only way to get a wireless sync to PC/Mac with the 620 is via a wifi point - and one that only supports basic authentication (i.e. password only) - which is a definite step backwards for me as, with me 405, I used to sync via ant+ module, and my wifi network is a secure one with a username and password :(

Garmin at this time doesn't have any means of transferring files via Bluetooth to the computer. If you want to transfer via Bluetooth you will need to use your cell phone to pair it with the watch. You can setup a wireless transfer for your FR 620 using Wi-Fi. To configure your network settings. See FAQ: How do I configure the Wi-Fi settings on my fitness device?
