910XT occasionally shuts off during data transfer

I started using a new 910XT about 2 weeks ago. I'm on a Mac and using Garmin Express to sync data into Garmin Connect. I've noticed on a few occasions that my 910XT shuts off (e.g. physically powers down on its own) during data transfers. I haven't noticed a pattern, it's not really repeatable, and it doesn't happen every time. It happened again this morning as I was uploading today's run, so I thought I'd post to the forum to see if anyone has noticed this. Thanks!

    I have two 910XT's in my household and now both are doing the same thing in the last week or so (after a Garmin Express update). All updates are up to date. I took them to my laptop with the old Ant Agent program and the syc's worked flawlessly...I have had no end of trouble with Garmin devices, and customer service. When these two devices die, you will never have another dollar form me! Garmin, you are an embarrassment!

    Happens to me too.
  • Really annoying. I have to power up at least 5 times for every transfer.

    Continually frustrated with this problem as well, on a mac. Inconsistent which makes it hard to troubleshoot. Just thought I would keep it going in the event it gets some traction with Garmin.

    We haven't had much success reproducing this issue. I would suggest you contact support so we can gather all information needed to get this problem you are experiencing corrected.

    I noticed that these comments are from last year however i have the same problem and its a year or more later. This didn't happen for the first year or so that I had my 910XT. Now it happens randomly using Garmin Connect and Windows 7.

    Just let me know and I'll send you my 910 and Ant stick (mine does it every single time). Willing to do a remote session on my Mac if that helps you "reproduce the issue".
  • Same issue with 310xt

    I have the same issu ewith 301xt. I haven't synced for a while. Firstly garmin express didn't want to connect with 310, since it said it was connected to FR405 (my wife's). Then I deleted both from garmin express and connected only 310xt. Luck. It was finally connected.

    But then, it now has 77% full memory and the sync was destined to last long... but it doesn't. After a few minutes of sync, the FR shuts down. I have restarted the watch for 5-6 times now, always the same thing...
