I'm able to upload my activities to garmin connect but it doesn't work for downloading the workouts to the 405CX. With the old software I was able to do this.

Downloading workouts from Connect to the device on a Mac is currently having issues. We are working to get this resolved. This being said what version of Express are you running and what version of firmware is on the 405CX. Please make sure that the device and software versions are both up to date. Current version of Express is 3.2.16 & current firmware on the 405CX is 2.40.
There was some improvement with sending workouts and courses to the Forerunner 405 devices today. Several tests here in house were successful. Please try sending a workout from the Workout menu in Connect Modern and let us know if you continue to have troubles.
I'm having troubles sending workouts from Garmin Connect to my Forerunner 405 (not CX). I have the latest firmware on the 405 (2.8) and just recently downloaded Garmin Express. I can add the device into Express without any problems, but the workouts will not be send to the F405. I deleted GE and installed Garmin connect and garmin communicator again, switched to the classic layout, and the workouts were sound to the F405 without any problems.
Is this still a known problem? Should I by using the Classic interface and avoid using Garmin Express?
Thomas
Garmin Express should be able to send the workout to the 405. Make sure the watch is not in power save mode before you send from Modern. Use the Retry button if it fails initially. You can also check the specific folder to determine if the workout file is being sent to the Mac.
~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Express/RegisteredDevices/UnitID of Forerunner/PendingSyncDownloads/download_long number
Are you sending a single workout from the Workouts menu in Connect Modern?
