Garmin Express requires OS X 10.7 or higher

I've received one notification from GC to switch to modern.

However when I try to download the new GE, it no longer supported to my OS X 10.6.8. Previous I've installed one version of GE that was supported on my OSX, but never worked ok, didn't find any of my devices 910XT or 310XT.

From Garmin portal I got:

"Garmin Express requires OS X 10.7 or higher. To download Garmin Express, please upgrade your operating system."

My question, since upgrading to 10.7 (Lion) is not possible.

Why suddenly 10.6.8 was not supported any more, any tips?

Can I use modern GC UI using old ANT agent?

Apple ended support for OS 10.6 back in February this year. We are also no longer supporting 10.6 because of this. Windows XP is currently being phased out as well now that Microsoft has ended support. An upgrade to OS 10.9 should be free through the App Store as long as your Mac supports it.

ANT Agent currently still works to upload data. ANT Agent may not function in the future once more devices are added to be compatible with Express. I would start looking to upgrade your OS or use a different computer that is compatible with Express.

I have the same issue. This isn't an option for me as I run all sorts of software which isn't supported on the newer Mac OS's

I understand not supporting in the future - but when I haven't updated anything - OS, device, computer etc am I now having an issue?

Why can't I access the old website for connect and just carry on as I was?

You should still be able to upload data through the Garmin ANT Agent then it in Garmin Connect Classic view. Only installing and using Garmin Express requires OS X 10.7 or higher.

Sign in to http://connect.garmin.com
Click the Profile icon on the left
Click Switch to Classic Temporarily

Connect Classic view should be available for several months at least.
