Unable to Download Express

Hi, I have a 2007 Mac Mini with an Intel Core Solo processor and when I attempt to download Express, I'm getting this message:
"Garmin Express Requires a System with a 64-Bit Intel Processor".
Does this mean I can't use Express or is there a workaround?
Any help is appreciated!

The Mac you are using doesn't seem to meet the system requirements for Garmin Express. Here are the system requirements for Garmin Express software:

    Mac
Intel-based Mac running OS 10.7 or higher running in 64bit
1024 x 768 display, USB port and 1 GB RAM
High speed Internet access (Not for use with dial-up, mobile or satellite connections)
May require up to 13 GB free disk space

If the machine you are using doesn't meet the system requirements you will need to use a different computer.

  • Ok, thanks Mike. How long will the "old" Connect website be available for? This still works for me.
  • AR4FELT,

At this time we do not have a ETA on this but you do have a little bit of time.

As you already know we do recommend a more up to date computer in the near future.

Or you could just stop using Garmin Connect and upload to a different site that has no problem support it, like Dailymile.com

Seriously, is it really a big difference to support 10.6 and/or leave the old garmin site up? I paid for the device and would like to continue to use it.

    Thanks,

WHy the cut off at 10.7? I have a Mac running 10.6 and don't feel the need to upgrade my OS for this. I guess I will simply use Strava from now on.

10.7 is the oldest OS X that Apple currently supports. That may have something to do with it.
