USB cable not detecting my Forerunner 210

Hi,

There seems to be a problem of detecting my Forerunner 210 by USB cable. It charges, but the computer doest recognize it so I cant download my date via G Express.

I'm running on Mavericks, MBPro. No other USB attachements, just a bluetooth mouse.

Any ideas?

The USB cable really is very twitchy on detecting the watch. I used to be able to use it to detect the watch after several attempts of connect/re-connect but today, nothing.

Thanks.
  • The Forerunner 210 is a mass-storage device, so it should mount as an external drive called GARMIN on the Desktop or in Finder. If you're not seeing that drive:

    • Disconnect the Forerunner and remove the clip
    • Reattach the clip to the Forerunner, lining up all four gold contacts (if your clip only has two contacts, you aren't using a data transfer clip)
    • Plug the clip directly into your Mac (not the keyboard or a USB hub)

After a few moments, the drive should mount. All four gold contacts need to maintain connection between the watch and clip or it may be disconnecting from the Mac. Also, if your Mac hasn't been restarted recently, I would advise you to do that to avoid any Finder lock-up related issues.
