Garmin Express not detecting my F2

Hi - Garmin express will not detect my new F2. I have the latest version installed and have tried several times. Please help! I can't even register my new device b/c it won't work.

  • Hey Albert! You guys are awesome. Brazil Support though is terrible.

    Got a Fenix 2 on May. The Menu button simply wasn't working very well (all the rest including syncing via USB was working just fine). When the watch returned with the Menu button working properly I noticed USB Syncing wasn't working anymore. They don't seem very concerned about that. Can I send the watch and the syncing cable to US to have it tested and eventually fixed. :-(

    Unfortunately we cannot accept and devices directly from Brazil. Any Warranty work would have to be handled through Brazil Support. Have you tried deleting the old fenix2 from Express and adding the replacement device?

  • Hey Curt! Again thanks for the quick answer. I actually uninstalled Express from my Mac and tried to run the whole process from the beginning. I even installed Express on a completely new computer (my office Win 7 Notebook). Nothing works. The OS doesn't detect anything connected to the USB port.

    I'm pretty sure there's a software lock or glitch on the watch that prevents it from being detected by the computer, which is sad since the feature was working just fine when I sent to repair. I'm already in contact with local support.
