Is Garmin Express - Mac fully compatible with a Montana 600 yet?

If not, when will Garmin Express be fully compatible with the Montana series?

myGarmin tells me to use Garmin Express to update and maintain my Montana, but tech support tells me not to for Garmin Express is not fully compatible with the Montana series yet.

When Garmin Express was first released, it was only made compatible with Automotive devices. The latest version of Garmin Express for Mac is compatible with most Outdoor handhelds (including the Montana series). I have relayed this information to the appropriate Customer Care teams to ensure a more unified response in the future.

Thanks for this report. We are aware of this issue and should have fix in a upcoming release.

The Garmin Express v3.1.3.0 client was released today. A client fix was included in this release to address the same map update being made available after a successful computer-only install. To update the client, Check for Application Updates by clicking “About Garmin Express” from the menu bar.
