MacOS 27 Multiple Problems (Error during Sync - Buttons not Working)

Hello team,

Yesterday I upgrade my mac to MacOS 27 and today I try to upload some music to my brand new Fenix 9 Pro.

First of all I receive a message that some files could not be updated... and ok I see others in the forum that have the same problem.

The I try to upload a playlist i have on my old FR965 from Music App but when I click on Music button, nothing happend. Also try the other button: no one of the four present in the app now works.

Try to uninstall GE, reinstall It and a pop up appears that the installer is for Intel Platform x64 and the only way to install is to proceed with terminal command:

sudo arch -x86_64 /usr/sbin/installer -pkg "/Users/riccardo/Downloads/Install Garmin Express.pkg" -target /

But after connecting again my Fx9pro, same behaviour: error regarding files and no buttons working, not able to transfer music

Someone find a fix for this?

Garmin please...

Silicon is out to the end user from November 2020, my Mac has M1 and still work perfectly... recompile your source code for Silicon Platform... SOON !!!!

    Garmin's installer is not compatible with macOS 27 Golden Gate, and they've known this for some time.

    The easiest workaround I've found is to download Pacifist and use it to install Garmin Express.

    Once installed, GE will run fine on GG, but there are many users having substantial problems with GE and the Fenix 9 Pro. So far, Garmin has been silent on this issue.

    The problem is not directly connected with Fenix 9, because I just try using Fusion / Windows 11 ARM on my Mac and GE works perfect with no issue.

    Also the terminal command code i post in my message will install the latest GE installer .PKG with no problem. I also add that my wife, with her Mac also updated to MacOS 27 facing the same problem with files and the four App Buttons.

    So this is a Garmin Developers problem, not something that the end users need to solve: I am writing as a IT with 38 years of background on analizing, coding, programming, debugging.. and so on...

    I had Claude compare logs from a working session under OS26 to a symptomatic session under OS27. The button issue is a UI issue, tile taps are not firing anything (maybe AppKit scripted calls not translating?) so the logs are blind to the issue. There were also (probably unrelated for the button issue) geolocation errors the client was churning on. I'm sure Garmin are tracking the issues... the rules of engagement with apple music that necessitate Garmin Express make this a frustrating problem!

    While we don't typically announce what may or may not be supported in the future, we also understand that the support for Rosetta is ending and it's important to find out for sure.

    This will be addressed with a future version of Express that natively supports Apple Silicon however, we have no exact time-frame to provide. We are aiming for it to be released by the end of this year though.
