Garmin EXpress 7.28.0.0. adding device not working (Fenix 8 PRO)

Can Garmin make at least something work???? 

Is the "add device" in Express not supposed to be a  basic functionality that should work out of the box 

Before 7.28.0.0. watch found, but garmin asked for update, so updated, and now stuck, +add device will not recognise the via cable connected watch 

For quit, close start again, disconnecting cable, nothing works 

Seriously.....

    Same issue with a Fenix 8 Amoled, removed from Garmin Connect, cannot be added any longer. Likewise, I can't get into its memory thru Android File Transfer or similar app. Updated to GC 7.28.0.0, no way. Any idea whether it could be a Tahoe issue?

    If some other program is accessing the fenix using MTP, no other program will see the fenix; including Express.

    I know that Android File Transfer installs an always-on extension, prohibiting other programs to access the device. Google stopped developing Android File Transfer a long time ago, so probably it isn't Tahoe compatible.

    Uninstall all other MTP accessing apps and try again. Express works fine on my Mac mini M2Pro with Tahoe.

    Thanks for the advice, even with AFT uninstalled, Express doesn't see my F8 on my Tahoe MBAir.

    On the contrary, on an older macbook with Monterey, both Express and AFT co-exist and work well, simply with Express requesting to close AFT before getting the Fenix up. That's strange, it appears to be an issue with the USB port management on the Tahoe
