Setting up with Garmin Express sets the watch to English

I stumpled upon this quite some time, but never asked: If I connect an Epix Pro with Garmin Express on macOS and add it I have to set a language. German in my Case. But even though the watch was set up as a German watch before, it is set to English after adding it to Garmin Express.

Has anyone have had the same experience? A bug?

I tried to replicate the steps you explained above, when adding the device in Express on the step titled Settings underneath Language you have to edit this for the language you set on the watch. If you don't edit that field, which defaults to English, when you unplug the watch it will revert back.

You will have to remove the watch from Express to get back to that Settings page, to do this go to the Home page then right click over the watch and select Remove.

I did this multiple times with different watches and I edit the field to German, indeed. Every time the watch is in English afterwards...
