"you have items ready to install" keeps repeating after installation

Hello,

I keep installing all items via Garmin Express on my Garmin Fenix 5x Plus but after reconnection, it always tells me same apps are "ready to install". This installation has been done several times, afterwards message "you are up to date" is showing up, but only until reconnection. Are the updates done or what do I have to do to get this sorted and keep the watch actually up to date?

  • First, please ensure that the Express application is up to date. If issues continue, let us know what all is shown as having an update available. Please also include a screenshot, omitting any personal information, if possible.

    thank you for your reply. I have meanwhile done a complete hard reset of the watch (buttons light + back), which was helping and I am able to bring the watch up to date via Garmin Express.

    However since then, I am not able to connect the watch anymore to my phone. The phone identifies the watch as the correct model, but when proceeding to pair, it does not happen and the step "completing setup of your Fenix 5X Plus device" is not progressing until "pairing failed - Unable to pair your Garmin device." is showing up. This did happen on several attempts.

    I am pretty concerned, what is the best method to have a complete restart of everything (watch, app, Garmin software)...?
