Vivoactive 5 Updates Not Available in Garmin Express on MacOS

My Vivoactive 5 currently has version 14.15. According to https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=USdUBNFAHq8ezOlPNuM0s8 version 16.07 was released on September 24, 2025. When I check for updates in Garmin Express I get a message saying my device is up to date. Why am I not seeing the latest updates?

    We're now up to software version 17.01 for the vivoactive, as of Nov 17th, 2025. Since Express isn't picking up on it for your vivoactive 5, let's see if we can use the watch itself to trigger that update. To do that, hold the lower button> select Settings> select System> select Software Update.

    Thank you for the reply. When I disconnected the watch from Garmin Express there was a message on the watch asking if I wanted to update to v17.01. So the issue was not that the watch would not update. Express on MacOS did not indicate there's an available update in this case.
