Garmin Express always shows updates already on device

Why does Garmin Express show updates that are already installed on my device (955 Solar)?

If I do a WiFi sync or force a Bluetooth sync, the updates are still there, even after refreshing, restarting GE etc.

For example GE is currently showing the v25.06 firmware update and 6 Connect IQ app updates,  all of which have already been installed via Bluetooth.

 Anyone else experience this?

And would it make sense if there was a way to tell GE that the updates have already been installed?

    If a device has been updated via Wi-Fi, Garmin Express may still report that an update is available until the device is plugged into the computer with a USB cable and connected to Garmin Express. This will sync Garmin Express with the device, and it should now show that the device is up to date.

    For the glances and apps being rearranged, I've emailed you directly to gather additional information on what you're experiencing.

    You've explained the behaviour that I observe with the exception that in my case GE always shows any new updates since the device was last connected to the computer which is good because you have reproduced the problem.

    It isn't helpful from a user's perspective though to show an update as available when the update e.g. firmware, Connect IQ app update etc. is already on the device as the implication is that the device still needs to be updated when it is likely to already be up-to-date (with the exception of maps)

    Garmin seems to know what versions of apps, glances and updates I have on the watch in the cloud so it would be helpful if Garmin Express reflected that and didn't tell me to update things that are already up-to-date.

    If you still insist on showing these items could you at least put a note underneath it saying  "already on device via Bluetooth etc"?

    It would also be helpful if a notification was sent when a map update becomes available.
