Macos Safari: prevent Garmin Connect Website opening Garmin Express App when sending data to a device

Hi.

I use the Garmin Connect website in MacOS safari to plan courses. Every time I send a course to one of my devices using the Garmin Connect website it opens the Garmin Express App on my Mac. Other than deleting the Garmin Express app is there a way to stop this behaviour. I never want the Garmin Connect app to open Garmin Express.

After clicking 'send to device' on the Connect website, uncheck the option 'Launch Garmin Express' at the bottom/left of the dialog box.
