Problem connecting DriveSmart with new MacBook Pro

Hi All,
I have a Garmin DriveSmart 51 which I update using Garmin Express. However, I have just bought a new MacBook Pro which has the Sequoia 15.1.1 operating system. When I attempt to connect my Garmin to the new laptop I get the following: 'The disk you attached was not readable by this computer'. Garmin support are blaming Apple, but I can connect my Garmin Fenix watch without any problems. Can someone please help? Thanks, Chas
