Is anyone else having problems with downloaded MP3 / M4A music files being hidden in Garmin Express?
Music files on my Mac computer show up in the iTunes library in Garmin Express and I can download music files to the watch and play them / view them on the watch.
However, the files downloaded to the watch don’t show up in Garmin Express, even though the capacity bar at the bottom of Garmin Express is showing there are 1.5GB of music files downloaded.
When I connect the watch and download music, those files do temporarily show up in Garmin Express as downloaded – but then when I disconnect and reconnect the watch these extra music files (and the ones previously downloaded) disappear.
Obviously, this is a problem as it means whilst I am can see my iTunes library in Garmin Express and can download songs, I can’t then delete them from the watch using Garmin Express.
My computer is a Mac with the latest IOS and iTunes, and the latest version of Garmin Express - the issue is with a Fenix 8 but I recently experienced the same problem with a Fenix 7 (after a couple of years of using Garmin Express with this 7 without this problem) so am wondering if it's down to a bug with the latest version of Garmin Express.
I have tired all the obvious things - refreshing the music library in Garmin Express, reinstalled Garmin Express and switched off / on the Mac, and disconnected / connect the watch.
Any advice gratefully received.
