New Garmin Express (Mac) download cannot update "Garmin Drive 51"

Hangs at the "Restart Garmin" screen even after the Garmin has been restarted. Any ideas for a "fix"?

FWIW it is a new current-gen updated Mac. GE has been deleted & reinstalled.
