Garmin Express Mac v 7.20.0.0 stays on Checking for updates

After updating to Garmin Express Mac v 7.20.0.0 seems to 'hang', I see the message Checking for updates with the update image/gif, but nothing happens. I don't get to see any device information. Same when I click on IQ Apps. This goes for all devices (in my case a Fenix 6x and an Edge 1040). What to do?

I did have this issue as well, but a complete reinstall of Garmin Express 7.20.0.0 fixed it for me. The instructions are on Full Uninstall of Garmin Express.

This is the most ridiculous process I've ever seen, this should be done by a 1 click process. Especially considering that GE needs to be uninstalled more times than installed as it never works...

i already stopped reporting bugs because it only wasted time. Bugs I reported more than a year ago are still not fixed. Just yesterday after I did theridiculous reinstall the same happened: when I add some new apps via GE, then exit the Apps screen and then go back to the Apps screen there's a total chaos: apps I instelled seconds ago are not there, apps I removed are still there. Some of them. Total random chaos. Then I disconnected to see what's really on the device. Well similar (but not identical) chaos. Some apps that should be there are missing, some that shouldn't be there are still there.

Another issue: on Edge Explore 2 there is supposed to be the on-device store app. In GE, ConnectIQ I see it as installed, but on the device it disappeared. I only see the 2 other apps. Not that it's a big loss. it was useless, but it's another bug, related to GE/CIQ/ee2 in some way.

Done with full uninstallation process, and it works ! but we have to reinstall all products on garmin express......

After a fresh installation my Edge 1040 Solar does not synchronise via Garmin Express (it is green and connected), my fenix 7 is working after the new installation.

Are there more with this issue after the mandatory new fresh Garmin Express Mac 7.20 installation?

Did you also remove the directories as noted in the document from Garmin?
