Garmin Express Not recognising device

Hello, 

I have downloaded Garmin Express on a second computer. It has my device linked but when I connect my device through the USB charger cord it doesn't recognise it and therefore won't sync with my Garmin and provide the much needed update for my device. I'm now left with a device that doesn't allow me to track anything as it needs the update.

Any help/advice would be appreciated

  • Hi So I have had this same issue and I've had to relearn the fix a couple of times because I don't add new music to my watch often but so Step 1 https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=zAKcL0VxC65ltPW95ufhG8 try the steps in this help doc. Step 2 (undocumented) AFTER you have ensured that the watch is "seen" in your USB info.. RESTART the Garmin Express application.. literally shut it down and relaunch it. Worked like a charm. Just have to remember this in 2 months when I run into it again.
