Garmin Express says I don't have enough storage space on my SD card, but I do.

When I try to download my maps to my SD card, it won't let me. It gives me a weird error when selecting what device you want to download the map to, that says I need at least 19 (no unit, presumably GB) of free space even though I have a 32Gb SD card with 20Gb free. I'm using a Mac and an Echomap UHD 62cv if it is of any significance.

Check the format of the card, it should be FAT32. I see you are using a Mac so make sure FAT32. Even though for. Camera, specific instructions are at https://havecamerawilltravel.com/how-to-format-sd-card-on-mac/. Note you will lose what is already on the card so if important copy everything to some other storage and then move the content back after the format operation.

I checked the format and it is already FAT32, got any other ideas?

Although you have 20Gb free it might still not be enough as extra space is needed during the installation. You might have to clear some extra space.

I hope not since I dont have anything installed exept the stuff that has automaticly been put on there
