Unfortunately, I am currently unable to use the Connect app on my phone, due to the lack of Android 12 support.
Therefore I have been using my Mac as my primary sync source, however, I noticed very quickly that when syncing with the FR945 using Garmin Express that although updates and maps were seemingly updated, fitness data was not pushed to Garmin.
Not only that, WiFi sync directly from the FR945 stopped working too. I don't know if this is because the Mac app messed up the stored WiFi config (something you can interact with in the app).
When I synced my FR945 with my Dell XPS running Windows 10, Garmin Express worked as expected and captured fitness data was immediately available online.
Steps to reproduce
- Sync watch with Garmin Express on Mac
- Observe no sync recorded with Garmin
- Attempt sync on the watch using WiFi, sync fails
- Sync watch with Garmin Express on Windows
- Observe sync recorded with Garmin
- Attempt sync on the watch using WiFi, sync succeeds
