Tactix Delta Solar 'Cannot Unlock Maps'

Gday all,

Today I did my 3 weekly charge and software/map update for my Tactix Delta Solar through Garmin Express (Mac). There was a Garmin Express Update required to be installed waiting for me along with a map update. Once complete and on unplugging the watch I received 'Cannot Unlock Maps' just after the Loading maps indication you see when unplugging. Garmin Express says my watch is up to date and all maps loaded (I think).

Has anyone had this recently? Suggested fix?

I agree this is getting a bit ridiculous.. I updated the garmin express software tonight hoping this would be a fix but still nothing. “Cannot unlock maps” still happening.

I've managed to bypass that annoying message as previously mentioned, but I was having issues installing the ski maps via GE on the Mac. I ended up just moving it across with AFT instead. Will see if it 'registers' on the new version of GE, or if I can reinstall it via GE. It's a pain to have to use a workaround, but at least I don't get that annoying message!

I totally agree with you. I already don't understand why this high end watch very often doesn't appear in the list of certain app compatibility. This last infinite delay is definitely not in relationship with its price.

I'm wondering why we have to try solving a problem we didn't cause. Ate we the only interested in making it work??

Yep, I have it too with the plain Tactix delta and it doesn't get solved by reinstalling the maps even after updating to latest GE software. I wonder what the issue seems to be cause it looks like it doesn't happen to Fenix 6 the sibling

Even the balistic app??? Unbelievable. I don't have it, but I'm pretty impressed that the ballistic app has issues as well.

The Ballistic app by itself works really good, but you have to manually enter range data, it was advertised that it would connect to a Sig BDX 2400 rangefinder for the range data, that’s why I got the Ballistic Edition.
