Drivesmart 55 - Garmin Express error - now corrupted maps

Hi,

thanks for any help in advance! I'm a bit stuck and I've had a good trawl online with nothing that's helped so far.

I have a mac on 10.15.07 and was updating two of my garmin 55 mts sat navs using freshly installed garmin express software.
Both devices had errors appear on express mid install and now show me "maps are corrupt and cannot be used. go to garmin.com/express to download the latest maps" every time they are turned on.
I have since reset the sat navs with a hard 12 second reset.
Reset them via the in built menus,
Removed the devices from garmin express, fully uninstalled express, reinstalled express, re-added the devices, reinstalled the maps in express.
I've updated the maps via wifi on the devices themselves.
Tried another reinstall map via express.
And so far....nothing has worked.

Any suggestions or pointers? Thanks! Alex.

Your best bet is to call Product Support for help, trying to diagnose an issue like this via a forum is unlikely to succeed.

Good luck! I am on the third one they sent me. Also I have the MacBook Pro. I have the Garman stock smart drive 55. And once I install the map updates, I still get maps are corrupted And go to the website to install new maps. This does not help. Mine also has been uninstalled and reinstalled on my MacBook. Again, does not help. I’m about to pull my hair out. I have 3 Garman Smart Dr. 55 sitting here on my counter. To being ready to send back. One I just received today. Brand new out-of-the-box and doing the same thing.

I was able to solve this issue by going to the settings on my Garmin DriveSmart 55 and connecting it directly to my wifi network. Then I told it to check for map updates. It checked and told me my maps were up to date. The problem disappeared. It might be a Mac platform issue.

I have the same issue, i have a drivesmart 55 and try to update through garmin express Macbook pro os 11.4

maybe there is a problem with garmin express and mac?

I also installed after having the problem with the mac, updated it through wifi. but still got the same error at start up, mapupdates corrupted, after checking updates it says, update good....

Is there a way to delete the files from the garmin? maybe delete the files in Map or the gpx file?

to get the corrupt files of the Garmin! it is still starting with your maps are corrupted after restart

so it won't start with the corrupted maps message and I can start anew updating on wifi?

It was gone for a while. Now it pops up every now nd then, but the maps load and seem to work fine. It doesn't always show on startup. I just ignore it now.

OK thnx! I hope they solve it, for sure a problem with the program under Mac...
