Cannot add GPSmap 276cx to Express "incompatible Device"

G'day everyone,

When I try to add my replaced 276cx (FW 5.50) to Express 7.3.0.0 on iMac (Big Sur 11.2) I get the following error message:

"Your device is not compatible with Garmin Express)".

The same procedure works flawlessly on a Windows PC. What is the reason for failure on Mac?

Same here for my new Montana 700i. Works on a Windows PC but not on Mac.

It is a locale-setting issue.

Before pairing your device with express, you have to set the locale on your mac to "English (U.S.)" and do a reboot.

Now you can pair your device and switch back to your preferred locale/language afterwards.
