Garmin software is a joke. You guys have been around for years yet can't get a simple windows installation to function consistently.
I've tried everything ;
uninstalled all garmin product software, restart computer
deleting all associated reg files, restart computer
run install as admin
disabled all firewalls
checked the task manager to make sure no running processes
I have been an IT tech for over 20 years so I'm pretty well versed in dealing with software installation problems.
After being on hold for over an hour and a half the tech was unable to help.
I'll be returning the GPS unit and trying a different brand.
