Garmin Express waste 24GB of space for maps

I've just noticed that Garmin Express is wasting 24GB of disk space to keep UniversalMaps folder.

How can I remove this data in a safe way?

If you don't need it you can simply delete it.

Manually? Without any problem? And without the need to update the file universalMaps.plist?

What device(s) do you have? I don't see that folder on mine?

Just to be on the safe side I'd move them elsewhere or rename the folder before deleting them and test. Apple will generate a new plist in response.

Hi, I have a smiliar question as I have 11 of my total 120GB SSD space taken up this folder in the "application support" folder of MacOS:

Can I safely delete this without it doing anything weird to my watch that have these maps on it? Or does express need these files when I sync the watch?

As noted below, rename them or move them to somewhere else and test. If there is a problem it's then easy enough to revert back.

Yeah, I read that. But Garmin should have the solid answer to this, and if it's not needed, then why don't garmin include a "clear cache" function to express?
