Garmin Express stuck at 2 of 4 (Restart) Nuvi 3590

The resolution has done nothing as I have unplugged, replugged, restart, reset, turned on/off multiple times now, but the Garmin Express Software (Mac Mojave 10.14) refuses to go into the next step.

If I try to quit Garmin Express, it spits out the warning that serious bad things will happen if I do so. So I have had this damned app running stuck, with my garmin plugged in and having RESTART it a dozen times...

Any REAL solutions to the problem with this software?

    After force quitting, despite the warning... trying again, just selecting 1 thing to update, it updated that and gave different directions to restart. Which worked. But then it hung on doing the maps. So had to force quit that process after waiting 6 hours... then started that over again. So after spending a long time, and multiple unorthodox force quits ... it *seems* to have everything up to date.

    Very poorly written software.

    Most have no issues with Express, I think since it started I've only had a couple of issues, one because I was using an out of date version. Problem is more likely to be with your system rather than Express but glad you got it resolved.
