Think I have a corrupted .fit file

I did a ride this afternoon, but the activity won't sync with Garmin Connect or Express. My watch syncs, just the activity won't. I also can't view the stats of the ride on the history on my watch - it says loading, but doesn't open.

I've managed to get the .fit from my watch - would someone be able to take a look at it and see if it is corrupted please? I have no idea where to start! I've tried garmin.kiesewetter.nl but the 'fixed' file wouldn't upload to Garmin Connect either. Why do files get corrupted in the first place?

hi,

any idea what happened during the ride with your FR945?

recording to your fit file ended abruptly without proper ending and summary, no further data present in your fit file

ran your file through Fit File Tools's section remover for you (without any removing)

check this file fitfiletools.zip

Thank you! :) After some playing around, I managed to upload the first half of the ride to Strava. At the point the activity ended, I remember I had pulled into a lay-by because I was lost, and switched data screens from navigation (evidently didn’t help me much) to DozenCycle to check my distance and speed. I can only assume that there must have been some problem with navigation and DozenCycle being a 3rd party data screen?

you can contact the developer from dozencycle and also phone Garmin Support

for both you can provide log files from CIQ and watch loggings
