Edge 500 - laptop has died - how to sync

I have an Edge 500 which has been working perfectly for years, however my laptop has just died and is potentially irreparable.

is there ANY way to somehow sync a ride from an Edge 500 via an iPhone or iPad?

I don’t really want to have to buy a new laptop or Garmin!

AFAIK, there is no way to sync an old Edge 500 to anything but a computer.

The 500 lacks bluetooth, so connecting via USB is pretty much the only way.
