Unable to transfer map update to USB stick in Garmin Express Mac 6.21.0.0

I have a built in sat nav in my 2017 UK Honda CR-V. I have always updated the maps with ease via Garmin Express and a USB stick. This year I cannot make it work. I have the latest version of Garmin Express. The info from the car transfers to the USB stick without problems. On the computer the update seemed to download very fast, but will not tramsfer to the USB stick - get the same error message repeatedly "There was an error installing the update".

Have tried everything in Garmin's FAQs. Even uninstalled my Norton Security completely just to exclude this as the cause. Tried several USB sticks (all formatted correctly). Reinstalled Garmin Express 3 times. Tried another computer. Same problem each time.

Had no issues in previous years, using same Mac computer and same 16GB USB stick. Any ideas? Is this is a glitch in 6.21.0.0? Contacted Garmin but so far only been directed to the FAQs / guides on their website - all of which I'd tried already!

Space issue on the stick? As you're on a mac the trash may have filled up your stick

Thanks but it its definitely not this. I tried 16GB and 32GB sticks, all formatted first. Even bought a brand new 16GB stick - didn't work either. Any other ideas?

Try speaking to Honda or call Garmin product support.
