Purchased Maps not available in Garmin Express

Hi all,

I purchased several maps from Garmin store. I installed those in the past.

My GPS unit (GPSMap 64ST) was full so I uninstalled a few maps and now I want to install those back but my purchased Maps are not available in Garmin Express, I only see a few of them.

How do I install all my purchased maps?

Not sure but you don't appear to be signed in in Express? If that's not the issue you'll need to call Garmin as its most likely an account error.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer. I signed in and I see the same list. The support at Garmin said they "re"activated the maps but I still see nothing.

How are we suppose to backup the maps if we always need the device to install the maps?

Call them back and ask why the maps still aren't there.

Yes it's in progress.

What about the Backup? How do you guys backup your map to make sure you can install the maps later on when the maps are not available anymore from the Garmin server?

Just copy the .img file from your device to your Mac, plus any associated unlock files (they'll have the same name but end in .gma or .unl). Main file is normally gmapprom.img but depends on the device and what maps are loaded.
