Backup Files Location?

I'm backing up a Garmin Camper 660 LMT-D using Garmin Connect, the backup process itself seems very quick and simple to do, if I look at the restore list I can see a series of date options to choose from so it does appear to be doing something!

My problem is that I don't know exactly where this backup file is being stored and in what format it is stored and I wonder if someone can provide me with this information?

I want to know because I have a lot of waypoints/locations stored now and I want to keep a copy of the backup file somewhere where it's under my control and I know it is secure.

I take it you mean Express not Connect? If you want full visibility of your backups then I suggest you install BaseCamp and copy everything to there.

If you simply want a gpx file though just copy current.gpx from your device's GPX folder.
