500 server error while trying to log in / add a device

Hi, i am running a iMac 5K with Mojave (10.14.3) and have the latest Express 6.12. (which autoupdated after I installed a old 6.11 version for a try)
I needed to exchange a device Vivosport because of a RMA replacement.
But as soon as I try to add the device and click on the "login" button I used to get a screen to enter userid and password.
now I only get e screen "500 server error"
Syncronising the already known "installed" devices worked, even updating maps worked (until I did the next step)

I followed the tips about complete deinstall, removing the plist (prefs, app. support, cache) emptying trash and rebooting

no success, now I have no devices and can not add any new ones :-(

trying to do the same with a WIN10 machine on the same network worked without problems.

    just tried, working for me, fingers crossed its fixed until its broken again

    Yep... back in action for me now as well.

    I've tried on Windows and MacOS it worked - after a new update for Express being released.
    We saw what you did Garmin ;)
  • it works for me as well. without updating to 6.13, and in addition I got the TopoActive Map 2018, which was missing as a available update for a while (for a Fenix 5X+)
    today is a lucky day. :-)

    still having problems with garmin express - locks up after start up and requests re authentication - been like it now for 2 days
  • Only received my watch yesterday.
    I have the same issue. My Sat Nav works fine with Express, even updated a small file for it whilst I was there.

    Not impressed, I can't update my 5X plus from 3.20.
    Also found that when I use the Torch it freezes and I loose my step count for the day.

    Do Garmin view these forums or do I need to contact them?


    UPDATE: V6.12 is working for me now. There is an update available, but I am nervous of updating.
    Anyone on a Mac using V6.13 successfully ?

    I deleted Garmin express a few weeks ago after posting about this issue here. I just clean installed the latest Garmin express from their website and everything worked without issue. I am presuming this whole issue was on Garmin's server side.
