Garmin Express "Re-authentication Required"

Has anyone else received a request to enter in your sign-in details when attempting to sync a device through Garmin Express? Once I enter the data and hit "OK" Garmin Express freezes. In the past it was going to a screen with the following message,"Garmin Express in unable to connect to the background service and will close". Now it just freezes. can anyone offer any help or work arounds if this is a common problem?

I tried to attach a photo of the error screen but the limitation of the forum would not accept the picture size.
