6.10 Cannot connect to the Garmin Express Service

Since updating to GE 6.10 I can no longer launch the app. It quits with the error message 'Cannot connect to the Garmin Express Service.'
Running Mac OS 10.14.1 on a 2015 MacBook Pro 15"
  • Same issue here. Run-in macOS 10.14.1 on IMAC Late 2013 model. Getting the cannot connect to garmin express service. Running Garmin Express 6.9.0.0 It won't let me update to 6.10

    I have the same issue, have tried reinstalling Garmin Express to no avail.
    I am on MacOS Sierra 10.12.6, details of error message:


    Cannot connect to the Garmin Express Service
    Garmin Express is unable to connect to the background service and will close.

    Just having the same problem here. ;c( . Latest everything on a macbook pro. I also have the same problem at my hackintosch.
  • As posted above, we have reported this issue and our developers are currently working to resolve it. In order to do so, we will need specific log files from your computers for Garmin Express and Mac Crash logs. Please contact Product Support in your region to be added to our existing case and provided instructions to submit the files we need.

  • HI yep same happening here, how to discover the uk support contact please? the contact us link on the forums page is for a webmaster and the garmin support site doesn't want to tell me. Could Garmin support post a list of country contacts here maybe please?

  • Unbelievable. My Edge 1030 won’t connect to my phone so I can’t LiveTrack my winter rides, and I can’t use GE to update/sync because it won’t connect to your servers...what DOES work anymore, Garmin? I’ve pretty much had it.

    I now have this issue with Garmin Express, everything worked fine last week but now GE gives the message "Garmin Express is unable to connect to the background service and will close" I have uninstalled and reinstalled but to no avail. My MAC is running Mac OS High Sierra version 10.13.6 looks like its a major issue for Garmin and they have no solutions at this stage
