If I connect my device via USB the device shows on screen it is connected, however on my laptop no connection is apparent on screen or in computer connection statues. If I try to update via the device Wifi I have the error message ,"Cannot communicate with update server.Try installing updates later." This has been since about 10am on 28th June. I have reset my device and uninstalled and reinstalled Garmin Express to no avail. Seems to me the problem is at the Garmin end.
So I just downloaded the latest update to Garmin Express and am now plagued with the same issue trying to update my Fenix 5X. This is definitely a Garmin fault and hope it is fixed in the next update. Warning - do not update if your current Garmin Express is working fine.
