unless you really need to conserve space then change to 1 second recording as all files are averaging around 15secs between data records. ensure you have a GPS fix before moving off.

Thanks a lot for that, i'll do that once i get home. I had the data recording setting set to 'smart', is smart better for battery life because i do some long walks.
