Can’t finish Update zumo 345

Hi all
I bought a new zumo and want to update the device via Garmin Express.
I have downloaded th lastest version and connected the zumo. When I click update a couple seconds later it says I should disconnect the device from my Mac, wait 5 seconds and plug it in again. It should restart/reconnect and finish the update.
But when I plug in the USB the zumo only starts, shows for about 30 seconds the Express Logo on its screen and goes black. Nothing happens after that. I tried three times now.
What is wrong? What can I do now?
