New Christmas present installed and fine until l used GE to update the latest speed camera. Now it is stuck in American English and voice recognition no longer works. Lots of other issues as well. Anyone else seeing this? It’s certainly getting negative feedback from others on Amazon with similar issues.
OK - so rang Garmin support a couple of times and this morning got the news that a case had been raised as the issue had been recognised. It was 'actively being looked at' by IT. Hopefully we will get a fix at some stage soon. Apparently the safety camera database is updated about once a fortnight, so the ability to do regular updates on GE will help warn you about road works or other temporary speed restrictions.

I just purchased 2 Dashcam 55's - my one was working fine then garmin express mentioned I had a saftey camera update, which failed to instal and since then, I no longer have the voice control option on the menu. Tried resetting / restoring but no joy

Hi Graham, I had this problem, the only fix found is to get a new Dashcam 55 from your retailer or Garmin. Best to call Garmin first and register a problem, they may offer you a replacement (possibly refurbished) but in any case try to get a returns number from them. I declined the refurbished offer and went back to Halfords who were great in supplying a brand new replacement - but they did need to call Garmin to get a Returns number.
I have disabled all the alerts on my Dashcam 55 and not bothered with the camera updates due to the risk of another corrupt Dashcam. Otherwise Dashcam 55 works fine with a 64gb card and some black masking tape over the gold to make it discrete.
