GE v5.7.0.0 is not downloading Edge520 software updates. Earlier today it was stopping at 2 minutes remaining. Now it stops before that. And, yes, I've done all the KB says to do. And, no, my internet connection is not the issue.
A really good Garmin customer service rep walked me through a process that resolved the issue of the device not updating to the latest firmware.
Note #1: your device may not have all of the folders/files listed below. Note #2: be sure to empty your trash bin before ejecting the Edge 520 from your computer. Note #3: after deleting the folders/files listed below, eject and restart your device, then update via Garmin Express.
Steps i. When your device is plugged into the computer it should show up as a mass storage device. ii. In Finder/Explorer open/click on the device. iii. Folders and files that can be safely deleted:
