My device is a Nuvi 3790T and I use a MAC with OSX 10.9.5. Can anyone help with a work around to get safety camera database info registered with my device without using Garmin Express? My version of Garmin Express is 4.1.27 and it is the latest version compatible with my OS. Unfortunately it doesn't show purchases/subscriptions (only maps) so I cannot download and install safety camera database files with it. I don't want to upgrade my OS just to use the latest version of Garmin Express. I have managed to download the database files (.gma, .gpi & .uni) through "My Garmin" and these have downloaded to the POI folder on my device. However, my device does not recognise that these files are present and is therefore not using them during navigation. Is there a way or do I have accept that I can no longer use safety camera info? I have complained to websales.uk@garmin and had some exchange of e-mails with them but it seems that they cannot provide me with a solution.
I don't believe there is a way. Express is now the way to install speed cameras so if not working for you the only solution would be to use another computer, perhaps a friend could help out?
