Garmin nuvi 255 been great for years - also using Macbook Pro
I've registered the nuvi and purchased lifetime maps and installed onto SD micro card since we all know nuvi hard drive far too small for the latest updated maps.
Seemed to work fine for a while then ....
message came up "No detailed maps found that support routing" I pressed the message for 4 seconds so the message disappeared then pressed
tools, settings, map but the 'map info' at bottom button is now greyed out so I can't get to the tick box to select my maps from the SD micro or ANY maps for that matter.
Tried holding bottom corner of screen then turning nuvi on and then erasing data back to default settings but I get same problem - no default maps?
I've tried downloading Webupdater - it tells me I'm updated
I've downloaded Mapinstall & Mapmanager for Mac but it doesn't seem to work for me and I shouldn't need it anyway
Even when I try and click the 'address' icon to type in a post code a message says 'no data available'. Almost as though all maps have been wiped off when they should have just gone back to the default orginal maps.
To summarize - so the problem is that my old maps seem to have vanished and the nuvi can't find the new maps on the SD micro card either. I think there must be something fairly simple to do but I don't know what.
