Edge Touring won't connect to Garmin Express

In the past everything went fine. Now when I open Garmin Express it says "Edge Touring Not connected". Tried everything: disconnect reconnect, start Express when device is not plugged in and then pug it in, start Express when device is already plugged in. No avail. Also, Garmin memory and the memory stick do not show up in Finder.
Mac Os 10.11.6 (El Capitan)
Express has no preferences and will not disclose its version.

This is my second device from Garmin.*Had so many trouble with their software. Don't think I'll ever buy Garmin again.

Sounds like nothing to do with your device, more likely a faulty cable or USB issue.

How convenient. I'm having the same issue. So are my cables bad too?

Who knows, have you tried a different cable (this thread is over 3 years old )
