I've just purchased a Monterra and can't get Express or Basecamp to see it no matter what order I connect them in. The Monterra won't charge the lithium battery so I thought that it might be a dodgy usb socket but if I put AA batteries in then connect usb lead the Monterra displays "acting as a media server" r something similar (I'm severely disabled so rely upon my support workers) It still isn't recognised by express although I can use emulation software (Win 10,parallels) and after installing express for PC and setting parallels to use the Monterra, it appears as a device in usb list! I can get express for pc to see the Monterra.
Go back to mac, assign monterra to mac and express for mac can't see it
The computer must be seeing it, the problem has to be the Garmin applications.
Can anyone suggest a fix for this and the battery not charging issue (from mains charger and computer) please before I return this expensive piece of junk.
