Fenix 3/3HR/5 Freezes when disconnecting from MAC

Hi, there seams to be something wrong with the latest version of Garmin Express for macOS.

Almost every time I disconnect a Fenix 3/3HR/5 it freezes and require a soft reset.

Today I found a solution for this FREEZE-problem :-)

If I first quit Garmin Express (not just click on the red x) and then unmount my Fenix the watch doesn’t freeze.

Maybe not the best solution, but it seams to work.

It wold be great if this bug was fixed in the future :-)

MacOS leaves hidden folders on mass storage devices mounted on the system that will take up available space. These can be deleted using tools such as clean eject.

I recently got a FR 935 and am having the same problem. Just upgraded to Software Version 4.10 and still experiencing the problem.

I have plenty of space on my hard drive.

Anyone from Garmin have an idea what's happening?

935 Freezing when Garmin Express is open in MacBook Pro

I am having the same issue with my brand new Forerunner 935. Thank goodness I found this post or I would have sent it back. I have quit Garmin Express before unplugging my watch or it freezes. I didn't have to do with with the 920xt.

I've also been experiencing this with my Forerunner 935 (updated to 4.10) and Garmin Express version 5.4.1.0. I just updated Garmin Express 5.5.1.0 and was able to disconnect without freezing several times. I either got lucky or they fixed it.

Edit: It's not fixed, I was just lucky. It froze on me again.

As this thread is quiet: This is still a problem for me too using:
Fenix 5 Sapphire 5.30
Garmin Express 5.6.1.0

I haven't seen this issue on my fēnix 5 since I started shutting down Garmin Express (completely) before ejecting the device.

Since upgrading to Express 5.6.2.0 and FW 5.40 i have connected/disconnected twice without locked. Perhaps a fix crept in unnoticed...
It was very reliably locking up before...

I have 5.6.2.0 and fw 5.40 and my watch still freezes

Shutting down Garmin Express COMPLETELY works well, no freezings when doing this
